Presenters: Suzanne Tyson, Founder & CEO, HigherEdPoints.com

Description: In a research study on entrance awards in Canada conducted by Academica Group and SchoolFinder.com students entering higher education in the fall of 2016 were asked about the entrance awards they were (or weren't) offered by the schools to which they applied. The study sought to uncover whether entrance awards influenced applicant acceptance rates. The results were illuminating in this area, but also with respect to the types of students often offered entrance awards. There's much room for improvement in the allocation of entrance award funding.
