No ED Guidance Expected on Sharing FAFSA Data with Scholarship Providers and Tribal Organizations

The provisionin the fiscal year 2018 spending bill that permits an institution, with explicit written consent from the student, to share FAFSA information with scholarship-granting organizations or tribal organizations is considered self-implementing by the Department of Education (ED). Therefore, ED will not be issuing further guidance and institutions may move forward with implementation on their campuses.
