For 2017 the Private Foundation Learning Circle will be discussing topics organized by the life cycles of our scholarship sector. We will begin by tackling topics of recruitment and selection in our January session, move into discussions around scholarship and scholar management on the April call, and finally focus on alumni development and programming in July.
The January call will be a group discussion around topics in both the recruitment and selection processes. Using your stated challenges from our annual conference sessions, we will guide the conversation around topics such as:

·  reaching target demographics,
·  best utilizing resources, and
·  increasing the number of completed applications vs. those started.
·  specific review criteria, algorithms, etc.,
·  utilizing outside community/alumni reviewers,
·  details on specific levels of selection (semifinalist, finalist, etc.)

This will be a chance to share your best practices with other foundations and also get ideas and resources for the areas you may be facing challenges. Come prepared to discuss your own protocol and strategies in the above areas and related topics. Also, be ready to ask questions about any issues your organizations may be facing as related to these areas.

Thank you to the following organizations for their generous support!
